This French federation of craft professionals represents more than 6,000 craftsworkers, artists and craft companies all together! But what’s the goal with all this? To show the best French «savoir-faire» in the ‘purest’ way. Technically, Ateliers d’Art de France objectives are to ‘enhance, represent, safeguard and support the economic development of craft professionals’, which means there’s a deep commitment to the educational field and that’s what is making a big difference with many other countries in the craft world.
Above this, there is a strong and leading community which contributes to the national and international reputation of the craft sector. In other words, beauty has to be respected. This comes in many ways: institutional exposure remains very important such as partnerships. Promoting the image of artistic craftsmanship is also a key aspect. As an example : In 2013, Ateliers d’Art de France launched the first edition of its Revelations show, a foundation event and an emblematic encounter for the profession, to be held in the Grand Palais from 11th to 15th September 2013. We can say it was quite a big success.
