There’s a place in Paris where time has disappeared. Le Bristol Paris, is the hotel of choice in the French capital. With an unrivalled elegance and an exemplary service, this place has been welcoming esteemed guests since 1925. Located on the prestigious rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, an arts district, its 188 rooms and suites have undergone extensive refurbishment, are spacious and bright. The decoration, very classic eighteenth-century style, is part of the history when the court left Versailles and established itself once more in Paris, after Louis XIV death. At the end of nineteenth)century, Bristol became the official residence of the Presidents of France. At the time, the first luxury shops appeared and the quarter became a place where all the fashionistas of the time had to be seen. Dressmaker Jeanne Lanvin opened boutiques and contributed to the reputation of the rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré !
2004 was the year of the change : a new design was built and gave to the hotel a full make-over. Partnering with its association with high-fashion, Bristol created its now famous ‘Fashion High Teas’ and got ready for celebrating its 80th anniversary ! After refurbishing the bar to create a warm space, the hotel took 2 new paths : encouraging families to stay (with numerous services for children) and increasing its involvement in the art world. Thus, many exhibitions were held in the magnificent garden, showcasing the work of many different artists such as Yue Minjun, Richard Texier, Osvaldo Rodriguez… A way of welcoming the international clientele.
Eventually, with the hotel’s 3 star-rated gastronomic restaurant called ‘Epicure’, Bristol remains a wonderful place to stay in Paris.
